Hey there, I’m David! I’m a down-to-earth wedding photographer based in NJ, born and raised with strong family values that keep me grounded. My passion is capturing genuine connections and turning fleeting moments into timeless memories. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me spending time with my three dogs! My mission is to capture beautifully real, candid moments—big or small—so you can relive them forever.

David was exactly what we were hoping for in a photographer and I couldn’t have asked for someone better to capture our perfect day. From our first phone call to getting our photos, David has been there for us and going above and beyond to help us and make sure our planning was going okay and just life in general. We were looking for a creative photographer to put their own spin on our photos and get some unique poses and shots and David checked that box over and over again. David uses modern technology to ensure he captures the best of your moments and enhances the environment around you for just an even better product. Above all, we felt like we made a friend due to David’s positive attitude, the laughs we shared, and eagerness to capture YOUR moment. He is obviously a master of his craft and I recommend him to anyone that is looking for creativity in their photos, while also still capturing classy and classic poses. David is an incredible photographer that I simply can’t recommend enough.

Kathryn Cooper Weddings

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,600
  • Serves New York, NY

This is delightfully different elopement + wedding photography! From helicopter elopements and lakeside wedding bashes to hiking engagements to weddings with bouncy houses, I capture the adventurous, quirky, and unique. Based in both New York + California, with travel worldwide, I've photographed couples on 6 continents. My creative, fun, & candid photography uses innovative techniques and unique ideas to get photos that make you look twice. Whether you're saying vows in your backyard or having a 3-day adventure wedding in the rainforest, I'll catch every spontaneous moment of joy and laughter—and plan a few unique shots on top of it all.

Awarded Best of Zola
We cannot recommend Kathryn enough! First (and most obvious) (and also most important) point is that the photos she took were incredible. She captured our night beautifully. More than that though, she captured how the night felt. The photos weren't overly posy, but rather showed off how much fun and excitement there was for the entire night. I think one of the best things I can say about Kathryn is that she really made a point of figuring out HOW we wanted her to photograph the wedding and delivered. As I wrote above, we wanted the photographs to look great, but mostly just capture how the wedding felt and she delivered on that 100%. Also, as much as she made sure we were leading all the decision making, she really knew her stuff and took things off of our plate where we could. We knew how we wanted the photos to look generally, but neither of us are photographers. So we talked to her about style and vibe and she really took it from there. She was an absolute professional, a great person to work with, and kind and caring. We felt like we were in great hands every step of the way. Truly cannot recommend her enough.

Hey there, I'm Emma! I am an outgoing and free-spirited photographer living in Manhattan (but born & raised in the Midwest! My heart longs for creating art and telling remarkable stories. When searching for a documentary-style wedding photographer, I was completely lost in the sea of endless Instagram profiles. Finding Emma's was like hitting the photographer jackpot. Capturing genuine moments is her specialty. Aside from the obligatory family portraits, we didn’t give Emma any specific direction, yet she managed to capture every single special moment perfectly. To say that my husband, our friends, family, and I are amazed by the photos she has shared with us so far would be an understatement. “Superb, phenomenal, stunning, magazine-worthy” are just a few of the words our friends and family have used to describe our photos. The attention to detail is unparalleled. Emma is professional, efficient, kind, talented, and truly everything you need in a wedding photographer. We could not be happier and highly recommend her!

Hi! I’m Justin (he/him) and I’m here to affirm your love, make you feel like a fucking rockstar, and dance like a total fool. Oh, and take so many gorgeous photos of y’all. I’ve been lucky enough to have my work published by A Practical Wedding, The New York Times, GLAMOUR, People Magazine and many other fabulous outlets. Andrew and I met in the most random place, hiking in the woods 100 miles from where either of us lived. We spoke on the phone for months and saw each other when we could, while we lived hours apart. 7 Years later we're married, raising a handsome pup, and running a business together. Since inception we have won Best of Westchester 2020 for weddings and numerous other industry awards. We take a modern approach to photography. We will light you and pose you in the most flattering natural ways and place you in front of the most beautiful backgrounds, while being professional, respectful and patient with everyone on your guest list!

Awarded Best of Zola
I couldn't be more grateful that Rebecca & Andrew shot our special day. Not only are they wildly talented (see some photos below), but they also eased our wedding nerves with their incredibly friendly demeanor. They took time to get to know us, and helped us look good and natural during our photoshoot (not something I thought I was going to be very good at, but they proved me wrong). We loved working with Andrew & Rebecca so much so that we've actually worked with them a few more times after our wedding. They are the best, and if you choose them to photograph your big day you will not be disappointed.

Hey, I'm Mary! It's nice to meet you. Summing up who I am in an "about me" is always difficult. What you must know: (1) I'm a nerd. If you want to talk video games, LOTR or Doctor Who, we HAVE to sit down for a bourbon or a coffee. (2) Yes, I will be out on that dance floor with you snapping away while joining in on the fun. And (3), while I'm a photographer first, supporting you during the planning process feels crucial to me - from building a timeline to having your back any way I can. Woman/LGBTQIA+ Owned

Awarded Best of Zola
We got very lucky finding Mary as our photographer. She was our photographer for our engagement party, engagement photos, and the wedding day. She always made time to talk and keep an open line of communication! She was great at making us feel comfortable and giving directions (which we definitely needed). Mary is also extremely thoughtful and I really appreciate the little things she had done to make everything as perfect as possible!

Hi, my name is Millie! I picked up a camera 11 years ago and I've been wholeheartedly devoted to this craft ever since. Through photography, I've come to understand that the meaningful connections I form with others hold a special significance for me and should be documented. We are SO happy with our decision to work with Millie on our wedding. She was the best (and even more). Our photos are gorgeous, and we are so grateful for all of her amazing work leading up to and throughout our wedding weekend. Ahead of our wedding, Millie did a beautiful job on our engagement photos and then sent us the most beautiful photo care package with a gorgeous and thoughtful wedding planning book. As we got closer to our wedding, we felt relaxed because Millie had planned all of the details and made sure to know exactly what we wanted and desired for the big day (and then organized everything into a very detailed timeline). On our wedding, Millie was the perfect photographer, capturing every special moment and fitting in perfectly alongside our loved ones. I could go on and on. My wedding day was perfect thanks to PSPi. He was professional, funny and extremely kind and creative. He knew all the perfect shots to capture. My wedding day was so hot and he dealt with me being cranky and sweaty and didn’t complain about the heat once. He also gave us over 3k photos to look through which was seriously amazing and it took us forever (in a good way) to go through all of the insanely beautiful shots from our special day. My guests were also talking about how great he was and love the photos so much. 10/10 would recommend!!!!!

New York, NY
  • Classic style
  • Starts at $500

Hey there! My name is Emilee, and I am a Minnesota-native living in NYC! I've been photographing people and events for 15 years. I shoot families, couples, individuals, and pets, but my passion lies in wedding photography. I love capturing the whirlwind of a couples' big day, and seeing the love that is shared between them and all their wedding guests. It's magical and wonderful every. single. time. My current markets are Minnesota and New York, but I'm available to travel anywhere in the US and the world for additional fees!

Awarded Best of Zola
What a dream Emilee was to work with, from start to finish. OUR CEREMONY PARTY: we decided on a private, courthouse elopement on a Wednesday, a 60 person reception party on a Friday. In both, our biggest priority was having a photographer capture the intimate, joyful small details. We went with Emilee because of her eye for the beauty in the small things. She captured both our days perfectly. DOCUMENTARY STYLE: Emilee was perfect behind the scenes, capturing beautiful moments of our friends and family, small details of the courthouse with just us. I look back at some of these photos and ask "how did she even get that?!" She has such an eye. POSED: We had about 20 minutes dedicated to posed, family photos during our reception. Emilee had our families relaxed and laughing, quickly swapping members in and out. In some newlywed photos, we sought her advice for how to pose. She gave quick direction, made us feel confident, and always found the perfect light. COMMUNICATION SPEED: Delivered on every promise, quick replies. Emilee was 15 minutes early to both locations, we never had to worry. PERSONALLY: We met with Emilee about 4 months before our big days. We had coffee, talked about our vision and our biggest priorities. She immediately felt like a friend, and knew she was firmly on our team. If you're looking for a photographer to capture not only beautiful photos of yourself, but more importantly, the feeling in every room, Emilee is the photographer for you. We recommend wholeheartedly, and can't wait for another occasion to work with her. Sincerely, Mara James

I don’t even know where to start when it comes to Shelby. To put into perspective how much I absolutely love her work, we not only hired her for our city hall wedding, but also hired her and her partner Jordan (videographer) for our big wedding. They also just photographed my cousin Kate’s wedding this past weekend. Kate met Shelby and Jordan at my big wedding, and absolutely fell in love with not only their work, but them as people. My partner and I aren’t good at taking photos. We are very awkward, and feel uncomfortable being the center of attention. But Shelby made it SO EASY and SO FUN for us. Not only were our photos beyond our expectations, the video Jordan created for us was absolutely out of this world. They are such incredible human beings, and both so talented. I plan to use Shelby and Jordan for every event in the future.

I'm in love with human emotions, either it's laughing till it hurts or tears of happiness. When your man hugs you so strong, that you can't breathe or when your dad is crying (for the first time in his life!) listening to your vows at the altar. Write me a few words about who you are, tell me your story and let's create something beautiful together!

Bryan Sargent is an award-winning wedding and engagement photographer from New York City. To Bryan, nothing compares to the privilege and fun of capturing the cherished memories of a couple on their wedding day!

Awarded Best of Zola
We hired Bryan for our intimate courthouse wedding in New York City just before Thanksgiving, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience!! From the start, Bryann was incredibly responsive and professional. Despite it being a simple, yet meaningful wedding at the courthouse, we still wanted to ensure the moment was captured beautifully. On the day of our wedding, Bryan came to our apartment and took pictures of us as we were getting ready for the big day. With our three friends in tow, Bryan followed the group through our neighborhood to the subway, to the Clerk’s Office for the ceremony, and then for some pictures at the waterfront. He was able to capture every moment along the way and captured the best NYC wedding pictures one could ask for. If you’re planning a courthouse wedding (or any wedding) in New York City, I can’t recommend Bryan enough. He is not only incredibly talented but also incredibly kind and dedicated to making sure your special day is captured in the most beautiful way. We will cherish these memories for a lifetime! Kim-Trang Photography

After working 10+ years in corporate America in NYC, California and traveling the globe, I found myself wanting more than what the traditional career path had set for me. I stumbled into photography while I was on maternity leave with my oldest and started a side hustle that I had no idea was going to turn into a complete career change years later. From the very first wedding I shot, I knew I was onto something. And ever since then, I haven't looked back.

Awarded Best of Zola
Kim-Trang Photography was the perfect choice for our wedding photography. From the start, Kim’s communication style was ahead of the game - she was warm, friendly, and we were excited to have her on our team. Kim is talented and committed and truly captured the joy and intimacy of our special day. She connected with us and our family in a way that felt more like having a friend there than just a vendor. One of our favorite touches was the sweet Polaroids she left with our wedding cards - the perfect surprise when we were feeling a bit of the post-wedding blues. We couldn't be happier with the sneak peeks we've seen so far and can't wait to see the full gallery. Kim-Trang Photography went above and beyond to make our wedding day truly unforgettable.

After graduating from Parson's School of Art in Manhattan, I worked as a fine artist, my work involved photography and photo manipulation. I quickly discovered that I loved and excelled at photo retouching, and went on to work for some of the best photo retouching studios in New York. In 2009 I shot my first wedding, it was a dear friend of mine and the beautiful photos were featured in one of the biggest wedding magazines. I realized that I had found my calling and have been producing stunning wedding photographs with my amazing team and clients ever since.

We used Emma Cleary Photography for our October wedding in New Hope PA and are BEYOND thrilled with the results!! The whole team was so easy to work with, and they made sure that we got everything we wanted from the day! Massimo was our lead photographer (with Ryan as co-photog) and I could not recommend them both enough! My husband and I (and our bridal party) felt so comfortable working them and they truly contributed to making our wedding day even more special! Choosing Emma Cleary was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding and we are so thrilled with our photos :)

I can’t say enough amazing things about Daniel! My husband originally found him on Snappr for our engagement shoot back in January 2024 and he was so incredible to work with, we just knew we had to book him for our wedding!! He made us feel so comfortable and made 2 awkward people look INCREDIBLE in front of the camera. He captured the most important moments of my life thus far and he did it so beautifully. All my guests loved him and appreciated all the fun pictures he took of them on the dance floor too!! LOL! I really can’t thank him enough for being such an important part of my day.

The word ‘milieu’ defines how we want to capture your wedding: as whole of scenery. Any experience is the result of a series of moments and feeling of our interaction with others. Images can recreate those intangible elements more fully in our mind, allowing us to relive our emotional experience long after the day has ended.

Finding Salvatore and having him photograph our wedding was the best decision we made for our day. He was so incredibly helpful from start to finish and even helped us make the best use of our time for the day. Our photos (and highlight video) are BEYOND stunning and we could not be more pleased. We are so very grateful for Sal his kindness, professionalism, and BEAUTIFUL work! Having him there for our wedding made it even more special and fun. We plan to hire Sal again for future projects! 10 out of 10 HIGHLY recommend…don’t miss out on this gem!

Jenny Flora Photography

Before I ever held a camera, as a kid I was obsessed with organizing and reorganizing printed family snapshots in albums. This infatuation with captured moments, led to picking out my first film camera, a 35mm Pentax, film developing and darkroom printing in high school, and then my BFA in Photography Degree. From there, I worked in varied sectors of photography, but my true passion lay in documentary work that could bring about awareness of challenging global situations. I have published and exhibited journalistic series internationally, notably at Oxford University and Aperture Foundation.

Jenny is an absolute gem! We are so happy we found her to photograph our modern beach wedding at The Wave in Long Branch, NJ. Jenny has an amazing eye and took advantage of all the beautiful aspects of the venue allowing for a great variety of photos. And a good mix of candid and posed shots. It was so apparent that takes such pride in her work and loves the art, making us feel so comfortable and calm the entire time. Both my husband and I are camera shy but Jenny gave us clear direction and took into consideration everything we were and weren’t looking for. Jenny and Camilla were also extremely flexible and supportive the entire day. We can’t thank them enough for their enthusiasm and dedication. It’s so apparent in their work. Thank you, Chris & Danielle

Coco J. Photography

A photographer with 10 years of experience specializing in love stories, portraiture, and immortalizing a moment filled to the brim with feeling. I’m French, which means I have aways been attracted to beauty, art, and romance & love to have a good time; my photography embodies this. When I am not behind the camera I enjoy eating good food and drinking wine (again, I’m French), going on roadtrips with my wonderful boyfriend, Max, and cuddling up with a good book - my favorite is The Pillars of the Earth - and my cutie pie cat, Jack.

Coco was an absolute dream to shoot our engagement photos with! Before our shoot, she really got to know our story, our style preferences, & then created the perfect shoot that really encapsulates who we are as a couple. She made us feel so comfortable while shooting & came with so many fun ideas that really helped us show up as ourselves. She also made sure to include everything that is most precious to us—our home, our doggo, & the city we fell in love in! We will cherish these photos forever.

About wedding photographers in New York, NY

How much does a wedding photographer typically cost in New York, NY?

A New York, NY wedding photographer ranges from $400 to $20,000 and averages at $3,000. The cost reflects the number of hours included, if there is a second photographer, any prints or albums, and, most importantly, the experience of the photographer. But every snapshot they take is a priceless memory of your big day — way better than your bestie's blurry smartphone pics, right?

Do most photographers include a second photographer?

94% of photographers in New York, NY offer a second photographer, although it typically depends on the package you book! Second photographers are helpful because one person can’t be everywhere at once, and the second photographer ensures all the details are covered.

Which are the most popular photographers in New York, NY?

Some of the most popular photographers in this area include The Pros Weddings, SweetEmms Photography and Ashley Cynthia Photography.

What else should I keep in mind when booking a wedding photographer?

Are you interested in an engagement shoot as a test run? Drone photography? Wedding albums? All helpful things to ask about when you’re considering which wedding photographer to book!

What questions should I ask a wedding photographer in NYC?

It can be hard to know exactly what you should be looking for when you’re first exploring wedding photographers. You might want to ask questions like, "How do you capture the essence of 'us'?" or "How do you balance capturing our must have shot list without missing out on unexpected candid moments?" Don't forget the nitty-gritty, either. Inquire about their portfolio, if they've shot at your venue before, and how they navigate New York City’s unpredictable elements (because who hasn't seen a taxi photobomb?). Check out our full list of questions to ask your wedding photographer for even more info.

How long does it take to receive wedding photos in NYC?

Picture this: you've said your vows, had the time of your life at the reception, and now you're back from your honeymoon, eager to relive it all through your photos. But you might need to wait a minute, because good things take time! Most NYC wedding photographers will ask for a 4 to 8-week grace period to finalize your photos. They're carefully sifting through the raw emotions and dance-floor shenanigans to deliver a gallery that's as epic as your love story. We know how eager you are to relive those moments, but your stunning snaps will be worth the wait.

How many images are typically included in a wedding photo package?

Wedding photo packages in NYC are as varied as the city itself, but on average, you might see anything from 300 to 700 finished photos. But hey, it’s not just about quantity, it’s the heart-stopping, tear-jerking quality that counts. Make sure to chat with your photographer about what's important to you – maybe it's those candid laughs during the toast or that magical first dance. So, whether you’re aiming for a minimalist album or an epic visual novella of your day, rest assured you'll have enough photos to keep your memories fresh and your heart full!

Are engagement sessions typically included in wedding photography packages in New York City?

Looking for a photographer to capture the excitement of your engagement, too? Look no further. Many New York wedding photographers bundle engagement photo sessionsinto your wedding package, or will add them on at a reduced rate. It's like a romantic pre-game show where you and your SO can get over some of the camera-shyness. Plus, it's a fantastic way to test the waters with your photographer before the big day so you can make sure they’re a perfect fit (and to capture some great shots for your save the dates!).
