From the moment I reached out to Debbi the event coordinator to set up a tour, to my incredible wedding day, I knew Spring Hollow was the right choice. Finding an elegant venue for a 75 guest wedding was a challenge, as many venues in the area cater to larger events only. I was so relieved when we first toured Spring Hollow, and we quickly decided it would be "the one". I would encourage anyone in the same boat to read about my experience below. The joy and enthusiasm Debbi brought to the planning process was a gift to experience- especially with the challenge of us living several states away. She spoke with and met my parents who lived locally -several times- to work through details. She was always responsive to communications and encouraged us to ask questions. The venue itself was wonderful- the ballroom is two stories tall with unique windows full of light. The ceremonies are held in a picturesque clearing, with a huge white pergola framed by trees and a pond. All of his made for awesome photos throughout the day. We had our cocktail hour in the restaurant and bar next to the ballroom. The charge to rent the restaurant was reasonable and so worth it. The food was delicious and service was on point- we received many compliments on the venue and food from our guests. The groom and I also appreciated the well appointed bridal suites upstairs, where there was plenty of room for our parties to get ready and refresh. The day was seamless and one of the best days of my husband and my life. We will always remember and appreciate the work that Spring Hollow staff, and Debbi put into making our day a success!

The newly renovated restaurant occupies three rooms of a 1700s farmhouse, complete with two working fireplaces and surrounded by perennial gardens. Familiarity walks hand in hand with the unexpected; old and new blend to form a timeless ambiance that is comfortable and welcoming.

We have had the privilege of working at the Farmhouse at People's Light on multiple ocassions and couldn't recommend it more highly. The Farmhouse is such a unique space, with creative locally made art on display and integrated throughout the property, both indoors and out! Some of our favorite features include the cozy bridal suite with a working fireplace and how the event space perfectly flows from indoors to outdoors. Richard & Dawn are two of the kindest and best people to work with in the wedding world, with an ability to help organize a perfect event and keep you smiling through everything. A review wouldn't be complete without also saying that the Farmhouse has some of the BEST food! We are never disappointed in the delicious options.

Guaranteed to be the most fun and unique wedding there is! The location is beautiful and has various options for ceremony and cocktail hour, plus Canopy Gardens Hall is a beautiful building. You get all the charm of an outdoor wedding, without having to over-decorate a bland reception tent. There are plenty of nearby hotels for ease of out-of-town guests which makes transportation more simple. Most importantly, Becky and her staff are out-of-this-world awesome. Not only are they fun, but they are patient, and understanding, and work hard to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible rain or shine! Bonus, booking with Elmwood supports Zoo Operations. If you're spending money on a wedding, some should go back to a good cause if it can right?

First and foremost I have to recognize the staff who worked the event at the hotel. Katrina, who is the event coordinator, was wonderfully communicative and detail oriented. We wanted to keep things relatively simple for our wedding but she had some great ideas to spruce things up a bit and helped to keep us on track leading up to the day of. The evening prior and on the day she was helping us set things up and made sure to keep our chaotic group on schedule. Not only that she was extremely helpful in managing the group, helping to cue and time our processions and intros into the dining room after the ceremony. She also added a personal touch to the centerpieces by arranging some fresh flowers we'd brought in and I thought the result was lovely. As important as Katrina were all of the wait staff and bartenders for our wedding. Jordan, Dawn and Dinnea took care of dinner service and Doug and Debbie tended the bar. We interacted with Jordan, Doug and Debbie the most but we've spoken to friends and family who agreed that the service was excellent. I want to call out Jordan specifically because that dude was constantly checking in to make sure we had everything we needed from drinks to food. On top of all of that he was just one of the most pleasant and kind humans we could have asked for to take care of us that day. We'd also like to extend a big thank you to the whole group as we had some late arrivals who came in during dinner time. The staff immediately noticed and without any fuss went over to get their order and get them served. We had opted for a Delmonico steak and salmon as our primary entrees. Note that because of the volume of guests the Delmonicos were all cooked to somewhere around medium. I can't vouch for everyone's steak but mine came out perfectly medium. As far as I can tell from catching up with friends and family during and after the wedding everyone was pleased and really enjoyed their meals. We also really enjoyed the atmosphere that was created. We ended up choosing the Orchid(?) package, if I recall the name correctly, which is their all inclusive package and I think it was worth every penny. I really enjoyed the up lighting and hotel provided centerpieces but I can see how if you have a different vision in mind then you may want to opt for a different offering. On top of the work they did in the space the hotel has a couple of outdoor seating areas, one of which has a fire pit, that were favorites of the group to take breaks from the party rocking inside. Ultimately the most important part of our wedding day was to unite our friends and family in one place where we could party and then not have to worry about transferring from the reception venue back to the hotel. As far as we're concerned Katrina and her staff delivered on this want magnificently. From the maintenance of the hotel and event space, to the friendly and thoughtful staff, to the convenient location for our friends and family; we could not have asked for a better venue for our wedding day.
