Situated alongside the scenic and historic Pequest river in Belvidere New Jersey, our Estate personifies an intimate natural elegance. For over a century, Cairnwood has been hosting wedding receptions within its halls. The tradition began with John and Gertrude Pitcairn opening their home for a marriage celebration in 1896. Today, the Estate is available for sit-down dinners with 200 guests or an opulent stations-style event for up to 275. The graciousness of the Estate provides a setting that departs from the ordinary with endless indoor and outdoor possibilities. The distinguished architecture, terraces, grand staircase, balconies, and flowering gardens inspire couples to welcome guests into their own spacious mansion for a unique and memorable celebration.

Our venue has stunning outdoor picture spots. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Curtis Hall is surrounded by a 45-acre arboretum created by Frederick Law Olmsted, landscape architect for New York City’s Central Park. The “hall” is the original music ballroom of the 1893 Cyrus Curtis estate, "Lyndon". The capacity for dining and dancing is 200. Beyond the handsome wrought-iron entrance gates is a vintage setting of rolling hills, two ponds, an original pergola and 50 varieties of trees. Located in Wyncote, Cheltenham Township, Curtis Hall is just five miles from Center City Philadelphia.

Duportail (Du-Por-tie’) House and The Federal Barn are both listed on the National Register of Historic Places and can accommodate gorgeous weddings and large special celebrations with up to 160 guests depending on usage and time of year.

If you are seeking an exquisite garden setting you’ve arrived at the right place! There are 3 components to the rental of Appleford: you have the use of the inside of the estate, use of the tented terrace, and access to the gardens. Your wedding can take place both inside and outside of the house, with the seating for your reception taking place under the tented terrace overlooking the gardens. You and your guests are welcome to roam the gardens and take pictures in the alee of trees, boxwoods, roses garden, walled garden, and private medallion garden. A pond, small waterfall, and landscaped entrance in front of the home is the ideal setting for your onsite ceremony. Appleford works with 8 exclusive caterers and is BYOB. Clients are welcome to select a florist, photographer, videographer, and other vendors.
