“Eileen was amazing as our wedding planner / month-of coordinator. Both my husband and I were SO glad we hired her. Eileen helped us make so many decisions during the planning process that led to an extremely smooth wedding day - from where the bar was located to how we processed down the aisle, from whether to do cake or a dessert bar, to when champagne was poured - she really nailed it. She also worked with all of our vendors to coordinate setup and was onsite to help make sure everything was set up correctly & as planned. Everyone jokes that something *always* goes wrong on your wedding day, no matter how much you plan, but really we had nothing go wrong thanks to Eileen! She made our day stress-free! It's also important to call out that our venue wedding coordinator quit a couple of weeks before our wedding, and Eileen stepped up and swooped in to make sure our new point of contact at the venue was fully up-to-speed. “We hired a day-of coordinator because although we wanted to own the process of planning the wedding, we did not want to be point persons for vendor questions, logistics, and issues on the day of the wedding. We chose Merry By Mia because we instantly felt like we were in good hands, were reassured by the fact that Mia herself had recently gotten married and knew firsthand what kind of stressors and wrinkles go into a wedding day, and because we were impressed with her podcast. We benefited greatly from working with Merry by Mia! We had a sounding board for questions throughout the planning process, making big undertakings (like finding and booking transportation for 120 people!) much much simpler. And of course, on the day of, we would not have rested nearly as easy if we hadn't known that Mia was there to represent our best interests when we couldn't be there ourselves. We also heavily relied on Mia to understand what we wanted/what was important to us and translate that to our other vendors, especially when we felt we weren't being listened to. This was invaluable to us. Overall, we were incredibly satisfied! From big planning moments down to helping me into my reception dress, the day would not have gone nearly as smoothly without Mia. “Without Fernie, we aren't sure our wedding would have happened! We hired Fernie as our Day of Coordinator, and met with her several times via zoom to go over details. She reviewed our materials and created a timeline for our day. She asked questions that made us think about details we might have overlooked. She did a site visit with us, ran our rehearsal, and was with us every step of the way on our day. Our wedding did not go as plan, and on the fly we were able to create a back up plan.
