“Brian is one of the best wedding DJs in the business. In the past two years I’ve been to eight different weddings. Brian was the DJ for three of the eight, and the party/reception component of the events was never more fun than when Brian was driving the bus. He is an east coast DJ, but he spun tracks at both of my sister-in-laws’ weddings and as we were searching for a DJ for our own wedding we reached out just to see what he would charge for a wedding in Chicago. Turns out the price was right. Brian traveled to Chicago, MC’d our entire wedding, brought all of the equipment necessary and made our day exceptional in every way. I think there are a few things that really set Brian apart from other wedding DJs. Anyone can stand there and run through a playlist, but Brian went off book a few times to match and capture the energy of the guests. As we were in the midst of the planning process he added zero stress, and just calmly walked us through the process of selecting songs. He had suggestions and recommendations along the way. He even brought an extra speaker so that we could plug our digital piano in and the pianist would be able to play loudly enough. Overall, we can’t recommend Brian highly enough. You will not regret choosing him to DJ at your wedding, party, event. Whatever it is, Brian is a huge value add and a pleasure to work with.”

There wasn't a single point during our planning conversations where I felt he was "pushing" services; in fact I felt that he really listened to what I wanted and even discouraged me from purchasing extra services when I inquired about them, which I really appreciated. At the event itself, he and his team were energetic and upbeat and managed to get even the most reluctant guests to participate in the fun and really enjoy themselves. Just like with many events of this kind, we encountered a few small challenges (larger crowd than was expected for the space rented, a few "non-compliant" teens) that Keith and team handled seamlessly and flawlessly. “We could rave about DJ Thrilla all day long, but in the words of our wedding guests: “Best dance floor we’ve seen in a long time!” It’s been weeks since our wedding and our guests can’t stop talking about how great the music was. Arthur did a great job with the ceremony and cocktail hour, and managed a tricky parent dance section (multiple sets of parents & timing!) We requested a Taylor Swift mashup and he exceeded expectations and made it the highlight of our night. The dance floor was always packed, and Arthur did a great job of taking into account our requests while playing music everyone would enjoy. We opted to use uplighting as well, which looked beautiful during dinner (we chose a warm lighting) and was so fun for the dance floor with flashing lights. By the end of the night, he even had guests asking him to travel to Texas to DJ their wedding! Booking DJ Thrilla was one of the best vendor decisions we made for our wedding and we could not recommend him more!”

Hiring a DJ can be tricky because it's one vendor you really can't "trial" before your big day. Shawn took away a lot of that stress with a comprehensive questionnaire he had us fill out ahead of the wedding. We also sent him a list of do not play songs and vibe suggestions, but trusted him to read the room to keep the dance floor packed all night. We also really appreciated that Shawn was there to curate an enjoyable vibe -- not to hear himself talk on the microphone all night. He played a great mix of music that was suitable for guests of all ages and backgrounds, yet still felt cohesive when played one after the next. A true professional! Our guests had a blast dancing the night away, and many of them told us how much they loved Shawn's DJing in the days following the wedding!”

“In today's world everything is extremely overpriced and service is terrible. My wedding was very stressful for me because of this. I did not have a DJ or a Photographer and honestly was considering just something small scale, until I talked to Ed from DJ Double E. I would give them 10 stars out 5. From the minute I talked to Ed it was a breath of fresh air from the million other outrageously priced DJ's. The price is unbeatable but that's not why I would recommend them. They are absolutely phenomenal and made my entire wedding. The music was perfect from ceremony to the last dance. They were so professional, so involved and so fun. We had a daytime (early) wedding. It is so challenging to get people up and have a good time at 12:30 in the afternoon, I was having meltdowns about it, they reassured me but had the entire place up and having fun. You didn't know if it was day or night. They helped us more than the attendants at the venue. Over 100 guests said how amazing they were. The pictures they took could not be any better. Any other DJ who had packages like this (photo booth etc...) were THOUSANDS, yes THOUSANDS, more!!! I really hate to admit but I'm not easily pleased however I would put my name on the line for DJ Double E after how they made my wedding. DJ Double E exceeded all my and my husband's expectations and -consider yourself lucky if you hire them for any event. I'll be calling them again!!!”
