Mrs. Arlene is the sweetest and most welcoming vendor I ever spoke with. She ensured that all the details for how we wanted the day to go was discussed. She offered different vendors that we could work with. She worked with my tight budget for my small wedding and made our day more special that I could’ve dreamed of. She was consistent with checking in with me which was greatly appreciated since I was planning my own wedding and was super busy with work and everything else. She was there the day of the wedding helping out in all the ways she could, she even fixed me and my husband’s plates so we can sit down and relax. Her team of photographers are the absolute best and were so sweet. Over all the whole experience was amazing and I can’t recommend her enough. She honestly feels like family and on top of everything the venue is beautiful! It’s an 1800 century that they’ve renovated, but kept all of its charm. If you’re looking for a small venue for a baby shower, wedding, birthday party. This is perfect! I am definitely going back for future events.

Ashley and Emma were the best ever at helping us plan our day to fit our wedding wishes. If there were any hiccups on our wedding day, I had (and still have) no idea about them. We rented out the cottages for our bridal party for two nights and it was an incredible experience to have everyone together the night before and after our wedding! We got married at The Chapel on Sycamore in April and it was everything that we had hoped for! The chapel itself is gorgeous with the dark wood interior and stained glass, and the outdoor space in the spring was perfect for everything from photos to cocktail hour gathering. We had 200 guests and the space was accommodating. Lisa was with us to coordinate our day from the very start and was incredibly prepared, responsive, timely, and helpful in answering my many questions throughout the planning process. She met me at the Chapel to visit multiple times to look at the space as I was planning the event. We used Oakhurst Market, a preferred caterer, for our food and got many compliments (and loved the food ourselves!). We loved the location in Decatur near restaurants and bars for our guests and the ease of travel and proximity to the city and it was easy to book parking for our guests nearby with Lisa's assistance. I would highly recommend The Chapel on Sycamore as an excellent wedding/event venue with lovely and helpful staff. The pictures included are by OliviaRosePhotography.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Provides event staff
  • Wheelchair accessible
  • Offers a sense of luxury

Venue considerations

  • Best for events with big guest lists
My husband and I had THE most magical wedding day all thanks to Victory North! Me and my entire family have worked in the wedding industry for 10 years so picking a venue was a big decision for us. We toured so many locations and Victory North was by far the most amazing. They include the chairs and tables and so many other things within the venue rental whereas most other venues you have to pay a large amount and it doesn't include anything. The only downside to our wedding day is that it rained our entire wedding day, start the finish with no stopping. While this may seem like a nightmare, Victory North made it so perfect still. We had considered tenting the courtyard but it was simply raining too hard to do that. We had the ceremony inside and it was THE MOST stunning, intimate, and romantic ceremony ever. I may be bias saying that but we had so many guests say the same thing! So if you are an anxious bride and worried about a rain backup plan, this is your venue!! In addition to all the amazing things already mentioned, the 3rd floor space at Victory North is absolutely the best part. A lot of my friends that have gotten married recently have had to get ready in a closet or use a restroom as the holding place before the ceremony. Victory North will have you posted up like a queen and there is so much space up there. We had all our bridal party and both sides of our family upstairs before the ceremony and never felt cramped. I can't recommend Victory North enough!!

If you are looking for a great place to have a wedding that’s stress free and makes you feel like family this is the place to get married. They never once made it feel like work. They always went above and beyond for us and making us happy. We had everything we could have needed and they were always only a phone call or text away. Plus it was amazing getting to spend the night of the wedding there and not having to worry about trying to find somewhere to stay. Truly such a dream come true having our wedding here.

We weren’t prepared for how COMPLETE our experience was going to be with Four Oaks Manor! I mean: decor, service ware, choice of colors and accents, customized ceremony backdrop, signage, seating, setup and takedown, and so much more. Their coordinator McKenzie Julian took on so much more responsibility for us- at NO extra charge- that she was practically our wedding planer from day one. The staff, the chef, and the grounds were all beyond our expectations. We wanted an outdoor venue with a forest-vineyard-farmhouse vibe and somehow we found Four Oaks to accommodate it all. There was PLENTY of room for our 80 person event, the ceremony seating and dinner arrangements were comfortable and well-placed. We had unlimited ice included and had staff handling refills of self-serve canned alcohol. There were NO surprise fees and TONS of surprise upgrades. Choosing Four Oaks was the best decision we made besides “I do!”

Our wedding at The Carmichael House, May 4, 2024, was absolutely beautiful. The owner/coordinator Paige was incredible!! Her hospitality made me and my wedding party feel so welcome, she was so accommodating while also allowing us all the space and time we needed to enjoy ourselves. There was also a space for my husband and his friends to enjoy themselves as well and he said they truly enjoyed themselves. While searching for a venue, what set Paige apart from other venues I visited was that she was so personable, and I didn't feel like I was just another business transaction. We talked back and forth for a year during the planning process, and she always responded in a timely manner, especially the last few weeks of planning, I was bothering her late into the night, but she was responding immediately. She kept the wedding on track and on time. I would highly recommend The Carmichael House as a top-notch wedding venue if you're in the market for a wedding venue you definitely won't be disappointed.

We started this business many years ago with not much more than guts and the desire to build our own destiny. We worked long, hard hours, had second jobs and spent many a sleepless night. I sold the parties, and then we’d go in a rented kitchen and make it happen. Luckily those days are far behind us as we have been very blessed, but some things have never changed. We still strive to provide the best in food, beverage, and service. It is still very personal to us. The celebrations we are part of are once in a lifetime events, and we understand that it’s an honor to be a part of them. We make sure that each and every event is a memorable one.

What's the Average Cost for Wedding Venues in Georgia?

Wedding venues in Georgia typically run about $6,399 which makes up roughly 14% of your total wedding budget. That's actually a pretty good deal when you compare it to the national average of $6,500-$12,000 where venues eat up about 25% of total wedding costs. Your total wedding budget in Georgia will grow as your guest list does. With 50 guests you're looking at around $19,646 while 100 guests pushes that to $32,489. Hosting 150 people? Budget about $44,564. For 200 guests expect to spend around $55,360 and for 250 you'll need approximately $66,155. Those planning a big celebration with 300 guests should set aside about $76,951. These figures help you plan realistically based on the celebration size you envision.

Which Georgia Venues Offer Outstanding Culinary Experiences?

Culinary-focused venues across Georgia deliver exceptional dining experiences your guests won't forget. Ecco in Midtown Atlanta has earned national recognition for its seasonal European cuisine with a cosmopolitan flair that food-loving couples appreciate. Their sophisticated technology allows remote participants to interact through synchronized lighting effects and dedicated Q&A sessions that make distance feel less significant. You can involve up to 350 remote guests in ways that go well beyond simple video streaming; they've created systems that make your distant loved ones feel truly part of your celebration with personalized touchpoints throughout the event. This approach transforms the experience from passive watching to active participation, especially meaningful for those important people who simply can't make the journey.

Where Can You Find Accessible Wedding Venues in Georgia?

How Far in Advance Should You Book a Georgia Wedding Venue?

Most Georgia couples start their venue search about 13 months before their wedding date with November being the busiest month for inquiries. If you've got your heart set on a popular venue, especially for weekend dates during fall or spring, you'll want to move quickly.
