We also gave him a spreadsheet with songs we definitely wanted to play, others that were maybes and a few not to. He worked off this list but there were still a lot of songs I’d hoped to play that we didn’t hear, and also a handful I hadn’t asked for - but it is what it is. “We booked Spike Events for our October wedding and Spenser was absolutely amazing! We had several meetings beforehand and he was on top of every concern we had. We had a wedding at a private residence outside, so electrical needs were tricky. Spenser was thorough in what he needed supplied from us and we were able to get the right electrical needs for both his sound system and the two arcade tables we rented. He also was such a fun personality to have around and added so much to the party! We have so many great photos of everyone up and dancing due to his skill of keeping things fun! He did a great job following our timeline and was very helpful in adding to it as needed when we weren't sure how to schedule things such as first dance, cake cutting and parental dances. “Me oh my, how do we even begin to describe our friends at King of Hearts? My wife Julia and I did intensive research on every band option possible, and it was the charm, grace, warmth, and orientation to producing a custom experience--all clear from our first phone call with Mark--that sold us. "When you know, you know" as they say, and boy was this the case with Mark and his amazing crew at KOH. We contracted for the 9 piece band and had a number of special songs that needed to be played for special people in our guest list (a friend's birthday that day, another couple's wedding anniversary, and honoring a friend's late mother's birthday). Mark did not hesitate to collaboratively plan with us to ensure these surprises were delivered with seamless ease. I also planned a flash mob for my fiance which involved the band playing in at the end over a pre recorded song and segueing into the full set without skipping a beat. Mark was game for all of it. It's clear from the first time you talk to him, King of Hearts is this man's baby. He cares for it deeply and takes enormous pride in the finished product. Mark is also an exceptional emcee of sorts. In lieu of anyone else in that role, at the dinner Mark played host to introduce our best man speeches and other major moments, flashing that incredible smile of his and charming the entire tent of 170 guests. Multiple people approached me during and after the big day to ask, "Who IS this man?" He is truly exceptional at what he does. The quality of the full band is [insert 100 emoji here]. It really made the night. Guest after guest came up to me while dancing to say what amazing energy the band set for the whole evening. Folks who *are not dancers* made their way to the dance floor--and stayed. About half of the guest list were trained musicians or vocalists or creatives of some sort (big a cappella nerd over here) and even the hardest to impress among them were taken by the show KOH put on. It's hard to have a critique of these folks! Even a small hiccup with our first dance song was seamlessly corrected within seconds and the rest of the night went off without a hitch. We regret not getting to know the other band members, but we vibed with them (all)(night)(long). Big love to these guys! Don't hesitate to book them.”

“We could rave about DJ Thrilla all day long, but in the words of our wedding guests: “Best dance floor we’ve seen in a long time!” It’s been weeks since our wedding and our guests can’t stop talking about how great the music was. Arthur did a great job with the ceremony and cocktail hour, and managed a tricky parent dance section (multiple sets of parents & timing!) We requested a Taylor Swift mashup and he exceeded expectations and made it the highlight of our night. The dance floor was always packed, and Arthur did a great job of taking into account our requests while playing music everyone would enjoy. We opted to use uplighting as well, which looked beautiful during dinner (we chose a warm lighting) and was so fun for the dance floor with flashing lights. By the end of the night, he even had guests asking him to travel to Texas to DJ their wedding! Booking DJ Thrilla was one of the best vendor decisions we made for our wedding and we could not recommend him more!”

“Joe and his team were incredible! All of our guests are STILL talking about how great Joe was - he picked perfect songs that were a hit with our crowd across generations and included some of our all time favorites as well. “Business Time didn’t ask us to write a review, but we’re so excited to write one and want everyone considering booking them to know how amazing they are (understatement). They’re not a typical wedding band, and we knew their style and songs were the vibe we wanted. Easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We had planned a 200 person wedding but had to pivot to 25 because of COVID. Mark and the guys were the kindest humans alive, accommodating us and being flexible with every phone call and change in plans. They never badgered us about making decisions, were super responsive, and went with the flow. We looked forward to every call with Mark. They made it so easy and it was one less thing for us to stress over during an already emotional year of planning. From the cocktail music to dinner music to the main performance, they were a huge reason the wedding was so fun and memorable. In fact, my husband and I (and our guests!) begged them to stay an hour past their scheduled stopping time - we were willing to pay whatever they wanted they were so good!! We just didn’t want the night to end. (For those wondering, they so kindly did and it was the best money we ever spent!) I literally lost half my voice that night and left the dance floor *maybe* once. Even days later all our guests are still raving about how amazing Business Time was. We legit would get married again just to have them perform again. SO FUN!!! Honestly more fun than a lot of concerts we’ve been to, and not just saying that because it was our wedding. “In my 36 years of life.. the femmes are THE BEST BAND I have ever seen, and I have been to many Beyoncé concerts. We searched high and low for a wedding band and thankfully stumbled upon them. Cannot describe how they made our wedding the one we dreamed of. Every wedding guest was blown away and said they were the best band they have ever seen. We danced and danced. They had us hyped all night! I have been to a million weddings- and they are by far the best!!!! I am a forever Femmes groupie.
