The Susie Hansen Latin Band is a popular and well-known Southern California band playing 100 to 150 weddings, special events, concerts and festivals every year. Our specialty is Latin dance music - salsa, cumbia, merengue, bachata, bolero, and cha cha cha.  If you'd like popular music, we can also play disco, swing, R&B, funk, Motown, classic rock and jazz standards like Frank Sinatra. We have three terrific lead singers -- our vocalist/conga player who sings lead on all the Latin styles; Susie on electric violin and bilingual vocals; our electric guitarist who sings lead vocals in English. We also have keyboards, bass, and drums/vocals.

Liska Yamada is a classically trained harpist with master's degree in harp performance and over twenty years of performing experience. We have planned and DJed many clients’ weddings and events, but it wasn’t after we planned our own wedding in November 2018 that we understood the true stressful reality of planning. Because of this and because we own this business together, we empathize with the strain wedding planning sometimes puts on engaged couples.

Having spent most my life in the entertainment business since starting out working professionally in the Theatre, Television and Various Talent Groups and Agencies eventually working my way as a Lead Performer / Vocalist & Emcee! My experience also includes several years working for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines as the lead Performer on many Maiden Voyages.
