“Corey is THE BEST wedding DJ! If you're reading this and on the fence about booking Corey at COS Celebrations, stop reading and book him! Corey was so accommodating from the start. My husband and I live across the country and Corey flexed his schedule so we could zoom with him after west coast working hours. I always knew I wanted a drummer with a DJ at my wedding and Corey not only made that happen but also brought his sax! Communication was A...timely and efficient. They have a very user-friendly app making it beyond easy to allocate song selections for each milestone moment throughout the day (including a 'do not play' list!). We had another zoom call with Corey a few weeks before the wedding where we talked through all the details...I am not lying when we were on the call for almost 2 hours where Corey answered any and all of our questions, offering unbiased advice when we asked for it. The audio the day of the wedding was perfect. We had an outdoor ceremony and Corey has grade A equipment and sound set up so everyone could hear us and the officiant perfectly. No static, no microphone feedback, nothing! We also had some specific music timing requests that Corey nailed. The dance portion of our wedding was truly epic. We had the drummer (which I HIGHLY recommend!) and Corey surprised us with his sax and it was show stopping! Corey helped make our wedding day run so smoothly. He was able to seamlessly guide our guests from location to location throughout the day. His emcee skills, calm demeanor, professional manner, and genuine care in making sure our day was perfect was something we'll never forget. We're almost a month out from our wedding day and guests will still tell us how much fun the dance floor was and what a great addition Corey was to our day! Not only did Kylie deliver stunning galleries, but she curated a whole experience. Right from our first phone call, Kylie made us feel both excited and at ease, which was a theme throughout our time working with her. We had the pleasure of working with Kylie for both our engagement shoot and wedding. When she arrived to the engagement shoot, she brought allll the happy energy and creativity, despite it being like 6 AM on a chilly morning at the beach. She immediately made us feel more comfortable in front of the camera than I thought was possible, and then proceeded to ask us really thoughtful questions about what kind of posing we preferred, which meant a lot to us as a queer couple where assumptions could have been made… Kylie was incredibly quick with the editing and had our gallery back to us the next day, and our photos were literal treasures. She captured our personalities so well. They were a far cry from the stale, cookie-cutter engagement photos I see on instagram all the time. Before the wedding, Kylie provided two calls and made herself available for any questions that came up in between. She worked with our wedding planner to make sure our day-of timeline would run smoothly and that we’d get all the pictures we wanted. By the time the wedding came, we were excited to introduce all of our friends to Kylie and see what magic she would work. She was confident, calming and encouraging the whole day and even handled a delicate family dynamic beautifully. “We had 1928 Cuban Bistro cater our wedding, and I honestly can’t say enough good things. From start to finish, the entire experience was smooth, professional, and way above our expectations. The team working the event was incredible. Super friendly, attentive, and on top of every detail. The flow of the evening was seamless. The passed apps were timed perfectly, and the buffet was set up beautifully. Guests were raving about the food all night (especially the empanadas and ropa vieja). What really stood out to me was how well they took care of my bride and me. They made sure we had food while we were running around taking photos and greeting guests. They even prepped full plates for us and had them waiting so we could actually enjoy our dinner without stress. At the end of the night, everything was packed up neatly. Leftovers and all. Ready for us to take home. We got to enjoy the food again the next day, and it was just as amazing. If you’re looking for a catering team that goes above and beyond and actually cares about your event, this is it. 1928 helped make our wedding unforgettable. Highly recommend.”
