  • Creates a sense of togetherness

Venue considerations

  • No on-premises lodging options
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Venue feels large for events with small guest lists
My fiancé and I were looking for a rustic wedding venue, not a ballroom, preferably a venue with space to be outside (weather permitting). We visited a few options in the Philly area and fell in love with the John James Audubon Center! The space offers SO many options for an outdoor or indoor ceremony. They host receptions in the pavilion which is open with huge windows and firepits outside! The site is beautiful, and everyone we’ve worked with has been immensely helpful! After officially booking for our October 2024 wedding, we planned to visit with our parents. What was originally intended to be a quick stroll around the grounds turned into an impromptu tour with the venue manage. She answered all of our parents' questions and even brought out photo books of previous weddings for us to flip through together. With the wedding right around the corner now, we could not be more thrilled with our decision and can't wait to be there next month to celebrate our big day!

When I was looking for a woodsy venue to get married at on the east coast, I stumbled upon Woodsgate at Stroudsmoor and it immediately stood out to me! We could get married surrounded by trees, with the ease of an all inclusive reception a short walk away. When we visited and saw the woodland chapel, even in the middle of winter, my breath was taken away and I wanted to cry because of how perfect and beautiful it is. It’s very secluded and has a lit-up walk to the ceremony site up an adorable path, and the reception hall has a cozy homey feel, while being straight out of a fantasy novel. We didn’t need much floral decor because of how beautiful everything is already, but the floral we did get was the perfect finishing touch, and I’m still obsessing over my bouquet. Aside from the gorgeous fairytale setting, the service was phenomenal and both our planner, Malia, and the staff were there to see to all our needs and make the day as stress-free and easygoing as possible. Malia was always quick to answer any questions, and was very willing to bring our unconventional ideas like Rock Band karaoke at the reception to life. Sometimes with all-inclusive venues you’re limited with customizing the wedding but that was not at all the case with Stroudsmoor. Everyone was so kind, professional, and our guests raved about the incredible food and service. I couldn’t imagine getting married at a more perfect place, and highly recommend this to anyone looking to have their own whimsical woodland wedding!!

Stokesay Castle is truly a dream venue, not just because of its breathtaking scenery, but because of its incredible staff. When we first toured the venue the manager, Luis, welcomed us like family. He took the time to explain all the packages available and even adjusted his recommendations to match our guest count, and never pushed us toward anything we didn’t need. He also shared helpful budget-friendly tips to make our day even more special and affordable. When we returned a second time for a renovation event, Luis remembered us instantly, greeting us with a big hug and even gave a personal tour, which expressed how much the staff genuinely care about their guests. Later, we had the pleasure of working with the new director, Dara, who went above and beyond to guide us through every step of the wedding-planning process. Whether it was through phone calls, emails, or in-person meetings, she made sure we had everything we needed. She was very polite and informative and always had a smile on her face. On our wedding day, she checked in with us multiple times throughout the day to ensure every detail went smooth and perfect. When talking about the food, all I have to say is it was absolutely phenomenal. Stokesay Castle’s menu offered a variety of delicious options, and while we had to narrow down our wedding-day menu, we also got to sample the rest at our rehearsal dinner the night before. Everything we tried was outstanding. The castle building itself is the perfect blend of modern elegance as well as old-time medieval appeal. It has stunning scenery, a beautiful outdoor ceremony area, snd spacious getting-ready rooms for both bride and groom. The gorgeous grand ballroom comfortably accommodated our 112 guests with room to spare, and it was everything we envisioned. Each time I visited Stokesay Castle I fell in love with it all over again, and that’s when I knew it was the place for us.

The cocktail/reception area have many unique spaces were guests could relax, dance, and socialize without getting stuck at their assigned tables. And we can't say enough good things about the day of coordinator, Troy, who was amazing at the usual wedding chaos (kids, dog, demanding guests, etc) but also kept our wedding together despite one difficult vendor. Our guests were constantly raving about how beautiful and unique the venue was. If you're having a small to medium size wedding, we absolutely recommend Bear Mill, and would gladly book them for our next (non-wedding) event.

Where to begin!? The Hertzog family puts their heart and soul into this venue, you and your special day. Kristen, Scott and Makayla were delightful to work with, understanding our unique needs and helping us plan for a safe and special day during a pandemic. They are thorough, kind and truly put the needs and desires of the couple above all. To add, we rented out the entire B&B and our guests truly loved their experience at both the wedding and as a B&B guest. Landis Valley Farm & Museum was the absolute perfect backdrop for our ceremony and reception! We knew when we were looking at venues that we wanted it in a barn setting and for the place to have a laid-back, fun, and casual feel. Landis was exactly that and more! Not only is the site maintained with the utmost care, but every building at the farm is so exquisitely quaint and beautifully rustic. Such a gorgeous place as a whole, especially for pictures during our big day. We knew during our very first meeting with Katelyn, our venue coordinator, that we were in good hands. Katelyn was experienced, professional, knowledgeable, and available by email at what seemed like the drop of a hat for all of our questions, big or small, leading up to our day. She was extremely organized and clear on expectations of what we should anticipate in having an event here. Like for example, making it clear from the day we scoped out the venue that it is an a la carte type venue, and we would be responsible for reaching out to all vendors that we would want to hire. She did provide a list of vendors that past weddings had used, which was extremely helpful, and we were lucky to find a few from that list, along with the others that we researched on our own. Katelyn’s attentiveness even the week of our wedding was so comforting. Along with our day of coordinator (that we hired from Fancy Peacock), Katelyn assisted in executing a check-in schedule for all of our vendors the day of, and everything went so smoothly! Landis does provide two attendants, one during the day and one night, who oversee the property - thanks, Dave and Elliot! Overall, if you don’t mind some DIY, and finding most vendors on your own like my husband and I, Landis makes for a dream come true wedding venue!

The venue itself is naturally gorgeous and impeccably well-maintained, with beautiful landscaping and a charming, rustic feel. On top of that, their affordable pricing made it an incredible value. They went above and beyond to make us feel special, from the decorations shed full of items we could use, to the open houses they host to help couples plan, to the annual holiday party for all their newlyweds. As a family-owned, LGBTQ-friendly business, we felt so welcomed and cared for throughout the entire process. If you're looking to work with people who truly care, this is the venue for you. Advice: Request Lisa and Patrick as your Day of Host, they are the closest thing to a Day of Coordinator. They’re so kind and did every job we asked them to do, from lighting candles, moving flowers, golf-carting grandparents, lighting sparklers and more!

My husband and I had our Christmas-themed wedding at the Eden on December 10th of 2021, and I can’t sing the praises of the wedding coordinators, concierges, catering and janitorial staff enough. From start to finish we felt genuinely cared for by everyone in the resort...and I know how often they host weddings, but each and every person on the Eden team accommodated us in such a joyful way; as if we were the only wedding in the building. And it felt like they were sincerely happy for us. Which made the day feel really, really special. Madeline and Felicia, our wedding/day-of coordinators, attended to every last detail of the day, making sure that absolutely nothing was missed. They were present, intentional, flexible, and at times even borderline protective of me and my family. And that’s anything a bride could ever ask for. I couldn’t be more grateful. As far as the planning process goes: as a project manager, I very much appreciated the explicit, direct nature of their policies and procedures. After offering me several tours of the venue (MOB was from out of town and MOG wanted to see it on separate occasions) and answering all of my many many questions via phone and email, we had several formal meetings to comb through all the details and make sure we were on the same page. Maddie was able to help me delegate and manage my expectations, especially when it came to who was responsible for what, and even then bent over backwards to help me and my bridal party with day-of tasks. Thanks again to everyone on The Eden Resort & Suites staff. You were such a crucial part of our big day and we appreciate your hard work!

I married my husband, Brandon, in late October this past year and we celebrated our Reception at the Wilbur Mansion with Rebecca Ciraco and Christy Jackson as our two right-hand people. Rebecca, our main contact at the Wilbur Mansion, was incredibly kind, patient, and fun to collaborate with. From the moment we met to sign the contract to the final menu selections weeks before the big day, Brandon and I loved working alongside her. Christy managed our event: she handled our signature drink, the linen colors, the layout, and any other little details at the venue. On the wedding day, Christy was the most consistent part of our reception. She made sure we were in the right places at the right times, she bustled my dress with safety pins (when we couldn’t find the little loops and buttons), she took care of talking to our DJ and communicating with staff for us, and she even made sure there was a plate of hors d’oeuvres at our sweetheart table so that we could eat after our photography session! She checked in on us throughout the event and she made the whole evening a BREEZE. Brandon and I are so incredibly thankful for Rebecca and Christy’s attention and help through our planning process and the event itself-- we truly felt so taken care of and carefree. The Wilbur Mansion is a STUNNING venue, but what truly makes it special is its team. Additionally, the Wilbur has so many beautiful places for photo ops, an excellent staff, and the food was OUTRAGEOUSLY DELICIOUS. Guests came up to me complimenting the hors d'oeuvres and meals all night at the Reception. Even now, months later, I still have friends recounting our wedding day and how wonderful the food was! Not only that, but hosting an event at the Wilbur Mansion was also a fair price. I can confidently recommend the Wilbur Mansion to anyone looking for an elegant backdrop for their event!

Miranda at Barn at Silverstone is the definition of professionalism. From day one as we toured the venue I was blown away at how detail-oriented and passionate she was about making the client’s dream wedding come to life. She works with trusted vendors, invests in quality programs to help you plan and stay on track in your process, and is always available to answer any & all questions. Not to mention she was incredibly kind and so fun to work with through this process. I truly did not have any worries on my wedding day because I knew Miranda was on top of it! The venue is STUNNING. Each section of the venue in itself is so beautiful that you do not even need much decor. The beauty of this place speaks for itself. You can tell how much thought has gone into each room & building. It is very accessibly friendly which was greatly appreciated for my guests who struggle with walking. There is a place for everything… wish you could stow away something out of guests sight? They have a place! Wish there was a place to hang your things in bathrooms/bridal suite? There’s a hook! Just so many little things that you do not think of until you need it. Just shows how much care and thought was put into this venue. We even had to make the call to move indoors on my wedding day due to rain and Miranda was so prepared and made the transition incredibly easy and made it equally as stunning. She truly is the best of the best. I cannot rave enough about my experience. Our special day was PERFECT and all my thanks goes to Miranda for making it all happen. If you are looking for a place that’s you can trust to have above & beyond service, that takes your vision seriously, and that you can trust to execute your wishes, look no further. I am so incredibly grateful for all her & her team’s hard work to make our day even more special. I do not have any professional pictures back just yet but here are a few that do not even begin to capture how stunning everything turned out. Thank you SO much!!! -Mr. & Mrs. Boak

We recently had a business event at Hotel Bethlehem. The venue was beautiful. The staff provided amazing service during our event and they were very attentive to our guest needs. The Bellman Barry and one other Bellman were very helpful upon arrival. They also made it easy to enter the hotel for one of our guest in a wheelchair. We had food stations and they were setup with great detail and the meal was delicious! Everyone commented that the food was on point perfect. This comment also came from 3 Chefs that were in the room as guest. Our bartender Steve also made the event special helping serve our guest themed drinks. Kathy our Sales Manager was extremely helpful with the entire process. She made everything run smoothly from the menu selections to the room layout. Our guest are still talking about this event weeks later! We truly appreciate the warm hospitality of all the hotel staff at Hotel Bethlehem.
