But once we talked to Kristen on the phone we knew she was the perfect fit for us. Her energy over the phone was so infectious and made us excited to get in front of her camera. Our first time meeting her was at our engagement shoot. We decided to go with a sunrise beach session and Kristen showed up with energy and ready to capture our love. She was down to do any pose and was always hyping us up on how perfect our pictures were coming out. We had so much fun and were just able to relax and be ourselves. This all translated into the beautiful pictures we received from Kristen. From the time of our engagement shoot (July 2023) to our wedding (September 2024) Kristen was always checking in to see how we were doing and how excited she was to shoot our big day. It was so awesome to have constant check ins with her!! The day of our wedding (9/21/24) was so amazing thanks to Kristen. We were planning a wedding at a personal property, meaning we had to supply every single vendor and she handled everything amazingly. “To say Emily and the team at GBC made our dreams come true is an understatement. From the moment we met, we were immediately impressed with her positive attitude, attention to detail, and organization. We fell in love with the venue initially, but now upon reflecting, it was the collective efforts of the staff of Galilee Beach Club that we will forever cherish and appreciate for the rest of our lives. Emily patiently listened and worked hard throughout the entire process, answering endless emails from me, while collaborating with Chris the general manager, Chef Rob, and the rest of her event staff to make all of our ideas come to life. Emily’s planning meetings along the way were focused, thorough, and super informative. She made time (even during her hectic season) for us, always. We trusted her completely with our vision and she knocked it out of the park. For me, I was in awe of her attention to the little things… the plate of hors douerves delivered to the bridal suite for us right after the ceremony, the signature drinks in our toasting flutes during dinner, the floating candles she suggested for the sweetheart table, right down to Emily locating our missing marriage license moments before the ceremony! She did it all with grace and ease. I could trust Emily and her team to set up all of the decor without an ounce of worry and on top of the beautiful set-up, Emily and her team packed up everything (and I mean everything!) into my car that night which truly was an unbelievable service. Chris, the General Manager, was our officiant and he was incredible. We had only met Chris a handful of times before we got married, but we felt as if he was one of our good friends. He knew exactly what we were looking for and we couldn’t have asked for a better ceremony. And the food! Everything was out of this world. Multiple guests claimed the short rib was the best they ever had. Chef Rob’s seared tuna steaks were prepared to perfection, even impressing a room full of tuna fisherman, which is certainly not an easy feat! The Galilee Beach Club was a warm, welcoming, highly professional, full service, simply spectacular place to get married. Our wedding surpassed our wildest dreams, which was undoubtedly the result of the hard work and long hours put in by Emily, Chris, Rob and the rest of the event staff at GBC. As two native Rhode Islanders and Galilee locals, we could not have had a more perfect setting for one of the most memorable days of our lives. We are forever grateful to have worked with such a remarkable team.”

“When I was looking for floral vendors for my July 2024 wedding in Block Island, I came across Ayla’s Instagram, and I knew immediately I had to work with her. I fell in love with the whimsical, natural, English-garden vibe of her florals, and I just thought she was the coolest person. From the first conversation we had, it felt like she “got” me, suggesting flowers, designs, and concepts better than I could possibly articulate myself. She was incredibly thoughtful putting together multiple proposals that fit our vision and our budget. The entire planning process couldn’t have been easier because of how sweet, communicative, and easy Ayla was to work with. Cut to the wedding day, and I was honestly speechless seeing her work come to life in our tent. Ayla is an ARTIST. She created a gorgeous 65 ft table runner for our head table that was so dreamy I still think about it. The bouquets were exactly what I was looking for - natural and simple but packed a stunning punch. Then there was the tent entrance installation, which was so beautiful on its own but also so thoughtfully designed to enhance the view and setting of our venue. Multiple guests came up to me on the wedding day (and even in the weeks afterwards) commenting on how the florals were some of the most unique and beautiful they had seen. I truly could go on and on. Ayla and her amazing team at shade studio exceeded every expectation a million times over. Hands down, Ayla is the best and I couldn’t recommend her more.”

Not only was he professional and organized, but he also brought an incredible energy to our wedding. For the ceremony and cocktail hour, we provided him with a specific music selection, and even though we never rehearsed together, he nailed it perfectly. During the reception, we gave him a playlist, and he struck the perfect balance between sticking to our choices and reading the crowd to keep everyone dancing. One highlight was when Joey G handed the microphone to people in the crowd, turning our reception into an impromptu karaoke party. It was a blast! He was not only fun and engaging but also very attentive to our needs. He asked how to pronounce each name correctly for the toasts, ensuring everything went smoothly. We requested that he not take song requests, and he respected our wishes completely. The sound quality was stellar, and his equipment setup was flawless. Joey G understood our need for clean music as we had many families with young children attending, yet he still kept the atmosphere lively and fun. The dance floor was packed with all 150 guests! Joey G was also a great help with announcements, coordinating toasts, and working with friends and family to announce the newlyweds and photo groups. His flexibility and attention to detail were impressive. Overall, I highly recommend Joey G to any couple looking for an awesome wedding DJ. He provided a questionnaire that made the whole planning process so easy, and his execution was simply fantastic. Joey G truly made our wedding day unforgettable!”

Communication is a 10/10, responds almost immediately and is such a nice person. She created a folder solely for our session, and used the inspo pics to pose us and really get the essence of our vibe. Super cool person to work with. Very friendly, and very professional. As for the turn around time, we received a few of our save the date pictures the day after!! Super fast compared to other photographers. Also included some drone pictures, which were some of the best shots. I definitely recommend to anyone. If I wasn’t having a destination wedding, Tati would be my photographer. Highly suggest booking this vendor.”

Luke’s originally started as a Record Store by the name Luke’s Record Exchange, started by Luke T Renchan. As years progressed, Luke T decided to start a Disc Jockey Company in 1983. This was an instant success. Before long, Luke T had eight employees doing events for him. Many years passed and his son Luke B showed an interest in what his father was doing. At the age of 9, Luke B would accompany his father and observing every move he made. Gradually he was allowed to make steps till he was able to do his own events.

“DJ Karl Detken and the rest of the Luke Renchan Entertainment team were great to work with for our wedding! From the original consultation to the day of, their communication was spot on. Luke met with us originally to go over the various packages and addons. We knew from the beginning we wanted to have a karaoke segment towards the end of the night, and he was happy to make that happen. We also decided on some ambient uplighting and the audio guestbook option, which allowed our guests (including those that couldn’t attend the wedding in person) to record messages to be pressed onto a vinyl album. Luke recommended a couple of his DJ’s with availability and we decided on DJ “Kalifornia” Karl. Karl communicated with our officiants, photographer, and musician friends that were performing to make sure everyone had the audio setups they needed. We also had a cocktail hour in a separate building that he brought a second audio setup for so there was a seamless transition between the two buildings without any time spent moving audio equipment back and forth, which we really appreciated. He was also on top of any special requests for the dance and the karaoke portions of the night. Overall we were extremely satisfied with the service we received and would highly recommend LRE for a wedding or other large event!”

“Plant Girl Shop made my floral dream come true for my wedding day! I couldn't believe how stunning all of the florals were when I finally saw them in person, I was truly in awe!!! It was so much fun to work with Chrstine and Laurie. They were so easy going, friendly, responsive, and helpful! They allowed me to make several changes throughout my wedding planning process and adapted the proposal just as I wanted it. I found that they convey the proposal to clients in the most visually pleasing and organized way. They show pictures of each flower that would be in the different arrangements, so you know exactly what to expect. Sometimes it can be hard to envision an arrangement when its not put together right in front of you but with this I could really see it come together. My Type-A self truly appreciated that level of detail in the process so I could envision what the florals would look like for that day! I can’t recommend Plant Girl Shop enough! They are floral experts and will bring your floral wedding vision to life!!”
