      Working with Purslane, and especially with Michaela and Justin, was a highlight of our wedding planning, and we feel incredibly lucky to have had such excellent partners in producing our event. The staff, especially Michaela and Justin, are responsive, friendly, accommodating, and professional; the space is gorgeous and beautifully maintained and operated; the food and drink were bountiful and delicious, and the service rivaled any of New York's fine restaurants. Best of all, the process of collaborating to make our wedding happen was easy and fun, and Michaela and Justin made us, the nervous engaged couple with a million things to manage, very confident that our day would not just go as planned, but would be a beautiful success. And indeed it was! Of all the people we worked with. Michaela and Justin deserve special mention. They are excellent communicators, responsive to the million questions and people that wedding planning entails. They are proactive collaborators, laying out a clear process and schedule not just for the day, but for the process of working to plan it. They provided useful, detailed documentation at every step of the way, including a very helpful list of recommended vendors. Every meeting with them was fun and friendly, but also productive, punctual and a good use of time. And of course, the food and wine tastings were delicious. Michaela and Justin were so helpful in giving us a sense of how the venue would perform in a situation we wouldn't get to experience until the day itself. They guided us expertly, making shrewd suggestions we might not have considered ("Since you have an open bar, we recommend choosing a heavier vegetarian entree.") My wife and I had a unique vision for our event, and these two not only assured us that it was possible, they worked with the park to accommodate myriad details, even down to the selection of lightbulbs. It's no exaggeration to say that without their help, the event would not have had the specific atmosphere we imagined, nor would it have been the roaring success that it was. All the confidence they inspired along the way paid off on the day, when Michaela, Justin, and their staff were a machine. The service was prompt, helpful, and invisible; the food was great, not losing too much in the translation from tasting to event; the wedding ran perfectly smoothly, with Purslane on top of the schedule, keeping the momentum of the night alive as they moved tables, served each course, operated the bars, and so on with perfect cadence. We are so, so grateful to Purslane for making our wedding a true dream come to life. Our only regret is not responding sooner to their lovely post-wedding thank you note, and for taking so long to write this review! My brother asked to meet Mellanee just so he could thank her personally for the ox tail spring rolls, lol. The Fork Goes on the Left stood out for their menu creation, artfully designed to accentuate our Jamaican, Filipino and Italian heritage. Mellanee was able to accommodate all of our requests, while providing invaluable insight from her professional experience. She handled our wedding trial and day with the utmost of care. We had the chance to visit their space in Brooklyn for couple rounds of amazing tastings including all kinds of appetizers, entrees, cocktail and even dessert samples. Oh man, the variety and creativity of their food is simply mind blowing! We could clearly tell that their chef always puts their clients' need at front and center of everything. During the seated dinner reception, our guests were pleasantly impressed by the food's beautiful presentation and deliciousness. They even helped us source a couple of Lady M crepe cakes for the dessert station! We didn't have to worry about anything at all throughout the event because every member of their team was so professional and efficient.           As a kid, Rebecca could be found in the kitchen cooking with either her Mom or Grandma. Traveling to Albany was always a treat, as her favorite dish to eat was Nan's French toast. While studying at NYU, Rebecca came up with the concept of STUF'D to fulfill the need for a savory French toast, as it was yet to be done. She decided to start the business as a food truck in 2016, as a way to keep her brand more mobile. Since then, we have evolved into a full-service catering company, offering a variety of sandwiches, sliders, and cocktail bites, and serving events that range from weddings and birthday parties to large-scale events!

          Stuf'd was the perfect wedding caterer for our special day. We were so nervous booking a caterer blind from across the country, but were wowed by Stuf'd!             We booked Lemons & Olives for our February 2025 wedding in Brooklyn, NY at Wild East Brewing. Both my partner and I are vegan, and it was important to both of us that we pick a caterer who could make a genuinely excellent, 100% vegan menu. These guys knocked it out of the park. With a few tweaks, Marko created a menu designed for two food stations featuring grilled pizzas and tacos, all of which were vegan and mouthwatering. At our tasting, we narrowed it down to three options for each, with nut-free and gluten-free options for guests with restrictions. A standout were the squash blossom tacos – we had multiple NYC-based guests ask if L&O has a brick-and-mortar location where they can get the tacos because they’re the best they’ve had on this coast! While our venue had space for catering, they have no in-house kitchen equipment. Marko suggested that the L&O truck pull right up to the loading dock and bring the hot food inside to our guests at serving stations in the venue. It was the perfect solution! Throughout the experience, Marko and Tanja were super easy to work with, genuine and down-to-earth about everything including pricing, and their staff ran things smoothly on the day. Finding a NYC caterer who is honest about their fees and offerings was one of the hardest steps of the planning process, but once we found Lemons & Olives, it became one of the best, most memorable parts of the wedding!

                  Thanks to Tracy & George and their staffing team, our wedding day was far beyond what we ever dreamt of!!!! I will rewind back to when I first emailed Tracy about our wedding catering inquiry. She was super responsive and able to get us in for a tasting ASAP. We instantly were drawn to Platinum Party Planners because they offered a variety of catering packages and we were able to pick one that suited our budget. A lot of other caterers were firm with their pricing which is stressful! During the food tasting, Tracy sat with us to discuss our wedding day vision and took thorough notes while George cooked & served us the food. Because I did not have a "day of" planner to setup all my DIYs/decor, she said not to worry and her team would handle it (ummm AMAZING!!!!!!). At the tasting, we were blown away not only by the taste of everything, but the gorgeous plating! Everything was absolutely beautiful and screamed high end, even with our limited budget. We had our wedding at RGNY Riverhead and initially they wanted us to choose a caterer from their exclusive list. Tracy went out of her way to meet with the managers/staff at RGNY and thanks to her high level of professionalism and expertise, they allowed us to proceed with using Platinum at our caterer!!! Prior to the wedding, Platinum assembled a whole timeline/order of events for our wedding day (with my approval of course!). Fast forward to our wedding day, Tracy NAILED our decor instructions, food was delicious, and the staff was awesome!! Platinum also made up menu cards for each seat, UNREAL!! Tracy only approached me ONE time the whole wedding day and it was only to say hi and congratulations!! This showed me she had everything under control and didn't need my input on anything. Once the reception ended, the team thoroughly cleaned up and took care of disposing all the garbage. All this to say, I truly could not thank Platinum Party Planners enough. Tracy & George went above and BEYOND to make me the happiest and most stress-free bride in the world. I will forever look back on that day as the happiest day of my life. Our "rolodex" includes many of the best vendors for all your event needs. Making your job easier is our highest priority. Wonderful food always begins with amazing ingredients, especially produce. We source directly from local farmers, we work with an organic butcher, a wild fish monger and importers of select cheese and specialty products.

                  Chef Ellen and her team delivered delicious food for our wedding on May 1st. My husband and I had spoken to other caterers who seemed to want to tell us what we wanted our wedding to be like, but Chef Ellen listened to us and enthusiastically created a menu that checked all of our boxes, including dietary preferences and restrictions. We had a tasting at our home and once we tasted the food, we knew we picked the right caterer. Our guests agreed. It didn't go unnoticed that our food options were anything but the regular wedding fare. We wanted a Mediterranean vibe for all of our entrees and Chef Ellen and her team delivered. As the venue was outside, she worked with her preferred rental vendor, Big Dawg Rental, and ordered all of the equipment needed for the catering operation, keeping me in the loop and checking in on cost. She identified cost savings by asking if I wanted to order some items outside of rentals, which I did on occasion. We hired the serving staff from Renegade as well and they did a great job. I highly recommend Renegade Outpost for a unique catering experience. We definitely received what we wanted.

                  I have nothing but effusive praise for Fig & Pig! They were the best catering team imaginable for our fall wedding in the Catskills. Holly prepares truly delicious meals, with huge crowd pleasers including the heritage smoked chicken, lasagne, and the cocktail hour crab cakes. Throughout the planning process Tammy was always quick to respond, and eager to incorporate unique little twists. We had homemade cookies we wanted to serve alongside Fig & Pig's delightful sticky toffee pudding and strawberry shortcake -- and they ensured it happened seamlessly. The bartenders and waitstaff brought fantastic, upbeat energy to the party. I can't overstate how thoughtful Holly and Tammy were every step of the way. Just one example: Fig & Pig had a small tray of appetizers set out for us in a private area following the ceremony, so my husband and I could savor a brief moment alone and enjoy all of the canapes before joining our guests at cocktail hour. Fig & Pig's food is magnificent. The specialty cocktails are stunners. I would recommend this team to anyone -- they are absolutely stellar.

La Mila is named after their daughter, Milana, who provides them with limitless inspiration and motivation.

                  As a classically trained chef, I hope my review of La Mila inspires anyone doing their “homework” to earn an A — for themselves, especially their guests. I’ve been to many weddings, and the food served is often an edible afterthought. How many times, when leaving a wedding, were you asked, “What did you think about the food?” — and you replied with shrugged shoulders, “Eh, it was okay.” That is not the case with La Mila. A huge shoutout and thank you to Sandy, who was able to pull together a phenomenal menu all in a very timely timeline. Sandy was honest, upfront, and available around our busy work schedule. The day before and the day of, Sandy was there to help with setup — from the big asks, like helping move furniture, to the small tasks—like lighting lanterns and ensuring no glass of champagne for our toast was served empty! Given our wedding took place at our home, we thoroughly appreciated Sandy staying late to clean the kitchen, empty overflowing garbage, and make sure our home was not a war zone when we woke up the next morning! Elie’s execution of our menu was stellar. As a classically trained chef, I was thoroughly impressed by the well-run machine Elie could create within our garage, the makeshift kitchen for the event. It rained on our wedding day, and we were blessed with a beautiful, vivid rainbow—right before dinner service. This blessing brought all our guests outside for 30 minutes—right before dinner. A major wrench in the moment-by-moment timeline. I know how this, for many chefs, can be a disruptive, unexpected delay—but Elie did not miss a beat. All of our guests raved about the food—notably friends who I graduated with from the Culinary Institute of America. One thing I learned in culinary school is that you “eat with your eyes first.” Simply put, Heidi’s presentation skills are on point! Her attention to detail in creating beautiful food displays, notably for our cocktail hour, showed the care, thought and love we wanted our guests to feel. Sandy, Elie, and Heidi may be the stars of La Mila’s show—but the success of our wedding would not have been possible without their hard-working and friendly staff. One of the elements that sold us on choosing La Mila, was their well-stocked arsenal of kitchen equipment they brought on site. (Most caterers require you rent equipment separately, which is not only more expensive, but introduces a whole new dimension of moving parts.) La Mila was also able to include chinaware, silverware, and the majority of our glassware! They even included soft drinks, water, condiments, cocktail napkins, etc. — all of this, and they still came in under what we were quoted by other caterers. Thank you, Sandy, Elie, Heidi, and the entire La Mila Catering & Events team, for making our wedding day what it was. Your talent, professionalism, and experience were felt by everyone who took part in our special day.

                  We had such a great experience with Steven Brown Caterers when we got married at the Picnic House. They were so easy to work with, friendly, proactive, and made everything seamless. Working at the Picnic House is probably not super easy because it's just one giant room but they made the prep stations invisible and it felt like they took up no space. Wedding food gets a bad wrap and I've had a lot of bland wedding food in my life but their food is delicious! We had people tell us about how much they enjoyed the food months after the wedding! The variety of items that they had to choose from was spectacular and they made this vegetarian bride feel included and like I had plenty to choose from. Would recommend them without reservation! So great!
