Let me start by saying my wedding was a tall order! I wanted a wedding that was gothic, elegant, Victorian-inspired, dark, and moody. We were going for gothic without it being “scare grandma” gothic! And to make it a step harder, our wedding was in a very modern looking building in Manhattan. And to make it even one step harder, my husband and I are based in Ireland. Lauren completely understood my vision and designed the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen. We had so many friends and family approach us about how beautiful the decor was, and even multiple members of staff and various vendors saying they have never seen the venue look so amazing. Her attention to detail is beyond phenomenal and everything is done with such thoughtfulness and due diligence. Lauren was so organised throughout the entire wedding planning process. She helped us look for the best vendors, she went to view different tablecloth landscapes and furniture when we couldn’t (again, we live abroad!) and kept me up to date every step of the way without bombarding us so we could continue to regulate life outside of wedding planning. I have recommended Lauren multiple times to newly engaged friends, and will continue to recommend City and Terrace in the future! You truly cannot get a better wedding planner who listens to the couples’ wants and needs, understands, and most importantly keeps you calm and organised through the chaotic planning process! She has such a calming demeanor but she's also incredibly resourceful and uses her knowledge and abilities to the max. Having no family in the area, I really had to lean on her for a lot more than I thought I might, especially when I was having issues with my wedding dress. She even came with me to pick it up the first time!! Greta has so many connections and really knows her stuff when it comes to weddings. She'll be real with you about what's possible within your budget and she really helped us stay within ours - she has a great system that she provides you access to. My wedding was this past weekend, and I still want to shout Amanda's praises from every rooftop! Hire her now! We had a complex wedding design: a full three-night, four-day weekend with several different spaces and layouts involved, and different guest lists for each day. Amanda handled everything masterfully. Every detail was exactly as we imagined (and more!), and she was a true joy to work with. My mother and I have different working styles and visions, and somehow Amanda found a way to meet both of our needs at each turn and help us avoid any conflict with one another. Amanda is highly detail-oriented and has a way of handling so many things "behind the scenes" and well in advance of the wedding - including crafting much of the decor and guest gifts weeks in advance, then personally transporting them to the wedding. It was efforts like this that really set her apart from other planners -- measurably reducing our stress each moment and taking things off our very full plates. We will genuinely miss speaking and working with Amanda. Our only regret was not hiring her sooner - she joined us after we had personally booked our venue and a handful of vendors, but having her with us earlier would have only enhanced our planning process.

Movies turned me into the ultimate romantic dreamer, leading me — an economics phd to quit academia and pursue my love for food, hospitality and events. Since then, I’ve made every kind of wedding magic happen for every kind of scenario you can imagine: from cinematic Bollywood-style extravaganzas at venues like The Bowery Hotel and St. Regis in Aspen, to more intimate celebrations at homes.

My spouse and I found Seema on a website called Modern Rebel. We initially only hired Seema as a day of coordinator because we thought we could handle three separate events and a guest list of over 200 people. As one would expect, we quickly felt overwhelmed and asked Seema for her opinion on a few things. Seema took the initiative and offered to take certain things completely off our plate, which we were incredibly thankful for! Within the first couple of meetings, it was clear what a professional she is in the world of wedding prep, and so she took on the role of a planner for most of our entire wedding weekend. She helped us navigate with grace everything from the food, to flatware rentals, to itineraries, to a last minute snafu with our wedding decorator. My spouse and I also wanted to have a lot of personal touches for our wedding, including custom stage backdrops that we made ourselves, custom table name cards, a gift table, unique name cards for guests, a food truck, and much more. Anyone else may have told us to let go of a few ideas and simplify but not Seema! She was flexible, excited about our ideas, and best of all she pulled off all of our weird and creative silly ideas. If you are looking for a unique, personal wedding weekend that feels like YOU, Seema is the person who will cheer you on. Her team is also fantastic. Every person that Seema brought to work on our event was kind, attentive, and ensured that the events went well. At no point did our guests feel unattended to, and it really felt like the weekend could not have gone better. There were times it felt like she literally worked magic to make something happen, like when we needed a seating chart for the pre-wedding Sangeet because my spouse and I forgot to prep the file for her, and she got something drafted, printed, and on site looking beautiful and in the same color scheme as the rest of our materials on the day of the event (I still have no idea how she did that). I have so many lovely memories of the weekend and I feel so thankful to Seema and her team for that gift! In short, I can't say enough good things about Seema. It really felt like having a beloved family member helping us with our event, because you could tell that she cared just as much about the details as we did. (Warning, you may be susceptible to wanting to be her best friend by the end of your wedding too because she's just that cool). I would have complete faith in her to handle a wedding of any kind because she is just such an adaptable person and she will be your calm in the storm!

The Get Together Events Co. (TGT) was the easiest and best (after saying 'yes'!) decision of our wedding planning process. We worked closely with Lauren (founder) until she did the "official hand-off" with our onsite manager, Kate, a couple of days before our wedding once all final details were in place. Kate had been included in all communications leading up to this and she didn't miss a beat. The hand-off was seamless! The spreadsheets, checklists, vendor emails and phone calls—everything generated by TGT—was so incredibly helpful in keeping us on track and not overwhelmed. They really helped us to be able to enjoy the last few weeks before our wedding by managing all of the vendor questions and final set-up details. Lauren's upbeat, friendly personality was wonderful as well! she could always put a smile on my face and made us laugh. On wedding day, Kate was our manager and Kristen her coordinator. There could not have been 2 more wonderful, sweet, attentive, helpful, thorough and just plain awesome people to be there overseeing everything like the magical angels that they are. They were both so helpful to my husband and me separately in the morning while getting ready, all through the day and night with making sure everything made it back to our hotel room...including packaging up food for a late night snack! They managed running our rehearsal with military precision and kept us on track time-wise throughout the wedding. We have no idea if there were mishaps "behind the curtain" as everything appeared to run seamlessly. I could list 1,001 other things they took care of for us. Our wedding was simply the best day of our lives (it's cliche for a reason!), and I'm confident in saying that it was so because TGT was there by our sides. Lauren, Kate, Kristen and TGT will always hold a special place in our hearts as we are so, so thankful for them. We cannot recommend The Get Together Events Co. highly enough. Thank you, TGT!

From our very first interactions with Deliece from the Dhalia team, we knew we had picked a spectacular partner to help plan our summer wedding in the Catskills. In the run-up to our wedding, Deliece was incredibly helpful in every way. She provided candid advice when we asked for it, kept us on schedule, documented everything in detail, let us lead on the things we wanted to organize ourselves, and took the time to understand our vision for our wedding so she could help us prioritize and spend thoughtfully. Where Deliece knew of multiple vendors, she gave us honest advice about whom to hire; where she didn’t, she reached out to her colleagues and was able to get us informed opinions about whom to work with and why. Dhalia was also affordable, especially by comparison with some of the expensive (and overbearing) planners we spoke with. Our wedding itself was flawless - our friends could not stop gushing about how beautiful and well organized everything was, and how much it reflected us as a couple. There is no way we could’ve pulled it off without the Dhalia crew. In fact, I think our single biggest piece of advice coming out of our wedding is that hiring planners is critical - and I can imagine no one better than the Dhalia team. When we say Taylor EXCEEDED our expectations, we truly mean that. From start to finish Taylor was such a calming and supportive presence in our lives. During the planning portion of our event, Taylor communicated with all of our vendors and made sure we were always on the same page. She was organized and had all of our contracts, seating charts, floor plans etc all in one google doc making it extremely easy to follow and stay on track. She was always responsive and answered every single question we could possibly have. As the wedding got closer, we had weekly calls to make sure we tied up any loose ends and that all the vendors were on the same page. The wedding day was beyond perfect. Taylor looked like a boss woman the whole time with her clipboard and made sure that she was keeping everyone in line and on track of time. There were a few times when things didn’t go as planned like having to move the ceremony inside due to rain and changing the floorpan last minute but she handled that with STRIDE. She made all the executive decisions and explained them to us calmly. We trusted that no matter what, she would make the best decision for us in the end and she 100% did! Everything ended up working out better than planned and we will be talking about this day for years to come. At the end of the event, Taylor helped all the vendors pack everything up and out of the venue and made sure that nothing was left behind. We could not recommend her enough as your wedding planner. She is strong, resilient and intelligent. She is organized, reliable and knows exactly what she is doing! You can really see how much she loves what she does and how she strives to be the best she can be every step of the way. Shout out to her assistant Joy for everything she had her hands on, including being so delicate and gentle while steaming my heavy wedding dress and taking some incredible behind the scenes shots of our day and for just being another amazing person to rely on. We couldn’t have asked for a better team!!!!

We hired Rebecca as our month-of wedding coordinator and she exceeded all of our expectations. I can't say enough positive things about One 15 Events. Erica and her team made us feel comfortable and proved their trustworthiness from the very first communication. Everyone on her team is kind and serves as a true champion and advocate for their couples. One 15 served as the day of coordinator for our wedding. We started weekly calls about 6 weeks out and her team took everything they could off our plate up until the wedding. Our wedding day was a breeze and we worried about zero logistics throughout the day. When one (minor) hiccup occurred, One 15 stepped in and corrected it in about 30 seconds. TLDR: Claire is the absolute best!! If you are looking for a wedding planner, you can stop looking now. I am a very type A person with high expectations and Claire has exceeded them all! Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and I cannot thank her more. Please see our pictures, credited to Alicia King Photography (https://aliciakingphotography.com/) First: She is a real problem solver - our dream venue was non-negotiable (and one she found/recommended!), but we had issues finding certain vendors (not the venue’s fault, mainly had to do with timing). For example, we were having trouble finding our perfect florist, transportation and hair and makeup - Claire used her contacts and relationships and were able to find the most wonderful team for us and we could not be more grateful. It was true dedication for her to take matters into her own hands when my husband and I were thinking of giving up (i.e., we started looking into DIY options) and it is a testament to her reputation, character, and professionalism that certain vendors decided to make exceptions for us just to be able to work with her again Second: She has great judgment - many parts of the wedding process are not straightforward, and it was great to have Claire be a sounding board for what to do and what not to do. She will always try to give us what we want, but that does not mean that she’s a “yes-woman” and she will always offer her perspective with clear rationale when asked. Third: She cares so much - you can tell she genuinely wants to have each wedding be the best it can be! As you look through her portfolio (check out her instagram “@wewedwell”, where she began making reels post weddings) you’ll see that each wedding is unique and beautiful - no cookie cutter copy and paste here! Our respect for Claire grew through the little moments, whether it’s her proactive emails/lists telling us our immediate next steps (many of which would never occur to me), following up with vendors without prompting, super organized Google drive for resources, and just being extremely responsive (or proactively telling us when she may be slower to respond while working a wedding/on vacation/etc) We loved working with Claire!
