I was recommended to Beth & Team Sassy Diva by our venue Domenico Winery & from a personal reference. Beth & Team Sassy Diva were so easy & pleasant to work with. They were extremely upfront with communication. I didn't exactly know what florals I needed or wanted, I essentially just communicated what my vision was via a Pinterest board and what I had on hand that I had bought to help display the florals in. Between that and discussion with Beth, she helped me create the ideal floral vision for our venue & helped bring it to life. We did a few simple arch pieces, sweetheart table florals, some aisle florals, mixtures of bud vases & small bouquets, bridal & bridesmaid bouquets that were multi-purpose use for other areas after the ceremony. All of it was beautiful & seamless together! Beth was even able to incorporate some floral requests that matched what my grandmother had in her wedding/wedding bouquet which was extremely appreciated & special to my family. I felt Beth's prices were extremely fair, competitive to market rate for the SF Bay Area. Cannot recommend Beth & her team enough. She is highly experienced in the wedding industry, professional & was just so helpful in general in bringing our vision & florals together. I usually will enjoy maybe on of the mains or sides and the rest of the dinner is so so, but what set Kitchenina apart from the other wedding dinners I've had is that every single main and side was delicious. I remember that I even went up to them after the dinner and told them how many weddings I've worked and that their dinner was a top 10 wedding dinner for me from my whole career. I definitely want to work with them again so I get to enjoy their food!

Working with the Oso team was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! We actually hired them about 2 years in advance, so we got to work with them for a super long time! One of the biggest reasons that we wanted to hire Oso specifically was because of their decor inventory, which was 100% available to use at no additional cost with their full wedding planning package. Weddings can be extremely wasteful in terms of decor, so it was nice to be able to consciously be a bit more sustainable! We honestly ended up hiring Oso for so many other services as well — Michelle did an amazing job with our signage, they also have a great photobooth package, and Michelle’s sister owns Bobaholics so we were able to get a discounted rate for a boba bar! It really felt like a one-stop shop :) Michelle, Gen, Raymundo, and Gennie were all so helpful in coordinating with vendors and giving us wedding advice/guidance - working with them also gave us confidence that we weren’t missing any important steps or details of wedding planning. They were also available by text/email anytime, and they always responded extremely quickly, which I so appreciated! Talking to them felt more like talking to friends who were super passionate about wedding planning! On the actual day of the wedding, my husband and I felt so stress-free because of Oso - they seamlessly guided everyone to stay on schedule, had walkie talkies to communicate with each other, and constantly asked us if we needed any food/water/etc. They took care of passing out our vendor tips, and set up all of our decor with time to spare! When people ask us for wedding planning advice, we always say that hiring a planner was the best decision we made - specifically Oso Events! They are truly the best at what they do :) We could not be more grateful to them!

Thalia saved our wedding. We had to change photographers very last minute and were super worried about hiring someone new. Then we found Thalia and from the moment we had our first intro call with her we had a feeling that everything was going to work out. She was so professional, during our first call she was very well organized and clear about what she would need from us. She took her time to make sure we were a great match and to understand our vision. She was personable and kind, speaking with her felt like talking to a friend right away. She was considerate, during all parts of the wedding she made sure to give us time alone together and we never felt rushed. Even still she constantly captured the most breath taking photos. Lastly she was so much fun! Our guests loved her and thought she had the most wonderful energy. She directed us very well. Looking over the pictures I’ve never felt so beautiful. She even brought her own props to go with our theme for the pictures. A vintage camera and tray. Everything she did was so thoughtful. Jess made my absolute dream wedding florals come true! After our initial consult, she sent me a beautifully pieced together PDF of her ideas/vision for the florals which must have taken her so much time. We discussed any changes, and then signed the contract. She was extremely responsive, flexible, and understanding throughout the entire wedding process which made my life as a bride so much easier. On the day of the wedding, she was there early and had her set-up process down to a schedule. I have to say, the florals were absolutely stunning and had my guests asking for the name of my florist. I feel that her work was truly worth more than what I paid for and I appreciate everything that she did so much. I don't know how to give more than 5 stars but I would if I could!

Our wedding venue recommended Natasha's Treats, and we were so glad they did! Working with her was seamless, from our first communication with her to the beautiful finished product on our wedding day. She was so kind, communicative, and professional. Our reception was outdoors and there was some concern about our cake being in the sun for several hours, which required some coordinating with the venue about when the cake should be delivered. Natasha took it upon herself to talk directly with the venue in the week leading up to the wedding, insisting that it was not something she wanted us to have to worry about, and for that I was so grateful! Our cake was delicious, and we got many compliments on it. Prior to the wedding, we'd ordered a tasting box from her, and all six of the classic flavors we sampled were excellent. We went with just one flavor for our three-tiered cake since my husband and I both agreed on which was our favorite. If you look through Natasha's photos on Instagram, you will see that she does absolutely beautiful work. We chose a simple design with textured lines, since we were going for a simple, clean look for our cake. She also has her prices listed on her website, which was appreciated, and her prices are very competitive and worth the investment. I highly recommend Natasha's Treats!

Yoko made sure to get to know us and took every step possible over the year we worked together to make sure that we were prepared for the big day. She was in touch with our vendors, and our families and made sure that everything ran as smoothly as possible. We never felt behind schedule or rushed because Yoko and team were so organized and on top of it. They really took care of us throughout the entire process. Something we appreciate is that they anticipated we'd need breaks during the day and scheduled those for us as well, they also made sure we were fed and hydrated throughout! I literally could not have gotten through my wedding without Kaci. She is absolutely fantastic. She is super organized, always cool as a cucumber, very experienced with all the moving pieces of event planning (which I absolutely was not), and just a truly wonderful human who my husband and I were delighted to have with us on our special day. It's so rare to find someone willing to do day-of wedding planning (instead of month-of or full service planning, which quickly becomes extremely costly and was more service than I wanted). I have heard it is difficult for coordinators to come in "day of" to a brand new venue, so they prefer to only offer more involved packages and/or only at venues they work with regularly. But Kaci crushed it at my venue (Brazilian Room in Berkeley) even though it was her first time there. She was extremely reasonably priced and honestly for the service we got, we easily would have paid 3x as much. Think no more and HIRE HER!

TLDR: Sarah Fischback photography was perfect for our wedding! She worked with us every step of the way, had contingency plans and made our wedding day perfect. Why/what we chose: We booked her about a year out from our wedding in May 2024. We wanted someone who was local, with a great portfolio, and wasn’t a chain with multiple sites and a huge staff. She was flexible with the contract as we decided what we did and didn’t want. We decided on 1 photographer for 8 hours, 1 photographer for 6 hours & 1 videographer for 6 hours with an 8-10 min video of the day, plus a hard drive of pictures & footage. Leading up: We made payments in 3 installments over that year. We filled out a form which laid out specific shots we wanted, timeline for the day, and choose music for the video. 1 month before the wedding we had a phone call with Sarah directly to discuss all the plans. She answered every question we had and took great notes on a spreadsheet that she shared with us. She also told us that she was pregnant and would be due sometime soon after our wedding so she was planning to have the second photographer stay longer to help out in case she couldn’t do certain things, at no charge to us. The only “problem”: A week before the wedding Sarah texted us that she had gone into labor. This could easily have been one of those stressful last minute wedding issues, but she had an organized, thorough, and thoughtful contingency plan. She had her secondary photographer become the primary, and had another individual as her secondary. She filled them in on the plans of the day and everything was still a go! And Sarah still edited our photos. It was a bummer we wouldn’t have Sarah there, but given how everything had gone so far we trusted her and hoped for the best! Wedding day: The bridal party was met by Sara Fischer (our new primary) at a nearby hotel right on time for all the getting ready shots! Sean (secondary) arrived with Jose (videographer). They started with shots of the venue and groomsmen getting ready. The ceremony started and they just sort of blended in with the crowd, it was great! We didn’t have a wedding planner for making sure we were on time, but the photographers helped with this (not their job but super helpful). The reception went really well too! They worked hard and I hope I gave them a break to have some food as the day really got away from me! One of the other great things was I had a film camera and wanted some film photos and Sean took a bunch with it for me and I really appreciated that (I bought the film, developed, & scanned them & Sarah did edit some of them). Sara, Sean, and Jose were absolutely delightful people to have at the wedding and seemed truly happy to be there. Photo reveal: 2 weeks after the ceremony we got 8 sneak peaks and gave some feedback on coloring and lighting preferences! 8 weeks after the ceremony we got our photos! I honestly love every single photo they took! Absolutely no duds! Our video was 9 minutes long and beautiful! It is amazing to see all these shots of us and our guests, especially from times I didn’t even notice the cameras. Final thoughts: I cannot recommend Sarah Fischback enough. She did so much for us and made our day very special. I know the photographer is one of the most expensive parts of the wedding, but Sarah far exceeded my expectations and it was well worth it!

We held our wedding reception at Saratoga Springs in the Cathedral Grove region of the venue on a Saturday in October. After visiting them for a walkthrough, we booked this venue about a year and a few months in advance. This was the first venue we visited and we fell in love! We felt a great family-like vibe from the staff, starting with Jennifer who coordinated our initial booking and tour. Throughout our time preparing for this event, Olivia and Sam were extraordinary in their communication, response time, and knowledge of these events. They did a wonderful job in helping us understand what we needed vs. what we wanted and good decisions to make. They never tried to upsell us on more expensive options, always letting us know the best value for what we wanted. Throughout this process, we knew we had made the right choice in terms of staff. Scenically, Saratoga Springs is stunning! An outdoor venue with several different species of large trees like oaks and redwoods, many small creeks that run through and around the venue, and several amenities included such as lights that wrap around the trees, a firepit, and artificial turf that you can actually wear high heels on! We were in love with the scenery immediately because our reception was LOTR/Legend of Zelda themed and this was perfect for us. Throughout the actual event, the Saratoga Springs staff was excellent. They assisted us and our own day of wedding coordinators in running the event and making sure we had everything that they could provide. Our reception was during a brutal heat wave in the Bay Area, but Cathedral Grove had so many large trees that the shade they provided meant the floor never got hot and it felt more like 75 degrees which was SO essential for the comfort of ourselves and our guests. Everything was great, and we give the venue and their staff a 10/10. There was one glaring issue we want to address. The DJ we booked, Paul Dominguez, was a very nice man. He seemed to be on top of it, being in constant communication with us leading up to the event. We felt that he was going to do a great job. Yet, when it came time for the event, he made SEVERAL mistakes in what we asked him to do that we felt the need to address this situation and performance. He is part of the approved vendor list for DJs but we honestly feel Saratoga Springs needs to either reevaluate him or discuss this with him because literally everything else about the night was perfect for us, except him. Again, he is a nice guy and even provided cold sparklers for us for free which we really appreciated, but the lack of attention to detail in several aspects of this night was something we felt we needed to address here. Overall, Saratoga Springs is an excellent venue choice for a big event like a wedding/reception and we are happy to recommend anyone looking for a venue. We had an amazing experience for our reception and we are very satisfied with the staff and scenery of this venue.
